Much of the music from “Power in His Touch” has previously been released on CD, earning numerous accolades including a 2002 Pearl Award and a three-star review from the Deseret News. The musical itself premiered in Salt Lake City in April 2005. It met with standing ovations every night along with highly favorable reviews from local papers. 2,000 audience members attended the run and the final two performances sold out by word of mouth alone.

The 2008 show will be directed by the extremely talented musician and actor, George Dyer. There will be open auditions for all roles, including the male and female leads, six principal characters and two child soloists. Some limited pay will be involved. The vocal/age ranges required for each main character are listed below and we’ll also audition for ensemble roles. The total cast size will be 35 – 40 adults and 8 - 12 children. Auditions will be held October 23rd and 25th at Summerhays Music (5450 South, Green Street) from 6:00 –9:00 pm. Please bring 1-2 songs for your audition, be prepared to read and bring a resume if possible. All songs should be Musical Theatre/Broadway in style unless otherwise noted.
